The heated Freedom H2O motorcycle gloves have been specifically designed to convey a sleek and elegant look and feel, yet they incorporate our high-tech THERMOTRONIC technology system that is meant to keep your hands at the ideal temperature of around 33 degrees Celsius, regardless of weather influences such as wind, moist, and cold.
The THERMOTRONIC features 4 different heating levels (from higher heat to lower heat) that can easily be adjusted with the large button on the upper side of the motorcycle glove. Thanks to the coloured ring around the button, it’s very easy to see what level your motorcycle gloves are currently set at.
The outside of the motorcycle gloves is constructed with flexible softshell material on the upper, and grippy leather on the inside of the hand. Their synthetic lining is combined with Exkin® Platinum® insulation and instantly provides a clear sense of comfort and protection against the cold. By using a soft impact protection knuckle, the motorcycle gloves are more comfortable to wear but will still offer a high level of armor. Thanks to the hydratex|Z-liner construction waterproofing is guaranteed.
Additionally, reflective stripes and logos are added to the top of the hand for increased visibility, without disturbing the clean and fresh look of the Freedom H2O motorcycle gloves. And let’s not forget the inclusion of the Connect Finger Tip fabric that allows you to operate touchscreens without removing your hand protection, especially when it’s cold out. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
