Sometimes it is difficult to find a motorcycle helmet that fits well. Size L is just a bit too spacious and size M is too tight. The Shoei Personal Fitting System (SPF) is a solution for motorcyclists who are looking for the perfect fit for their premium motorcycle helmet.
The Shoei Personal Fit starts by measuring your head. Various measurements are carried out in order to formulate the best possible advice. This data is entered into the Shoei Personal Fit program and the algorithm then gives a size recommendation: what size helmet to get and how to adjust it.
The Shoei Personal Fit expert does the rest. The system helps, but is never 100% conclusive. The Shoei Personal Fit expert will still have to make small adjustments to achieve the ultimate result. First, the adjustments will be temporarily placed with the so-called fitting pieces and further fitting will take place. Until the desired result is achieved. Once the most ideal fit has been determined, the pieces will be placed on the inside of the lining of the center pad.
Customization is not always necessary. Often the standard helmet will already fit perfectly and adjustments will have the opposite effect. Our employees in the helmet department can assess whether customization is advisable for you.
Customizing your Shoei motorcycle helmet only concerns the center pad of the helmet, nothing is adjusted to the helmet shell or the cheek pads.
The adjustments cannot be easily removed from the liner as they will be stuck. The advantage is that the liner can be washed without the applied parts coming off the center pad.
A Shoei Personal Fit generally takes about an hour and is only done by appointment. The appointments take place on weekdays, unfortunately it is too busy in the weekend to schedule a Shoei Personal Fit. If the desired helmet is in stock, you can go home with the helmet after fitting!
With a previously purchased Shoei helmet, it is possible optimate the fitting. Unfortunately, if a helmet is too small, it is no longer possible to make adjustments.
